The Council concentrates on three themes.
First of all the Council stimulates the relations between churches and the mutual agreement on belief, faith and church. Important items for us are recognition of baptism between churches, understanding of the feelings related to eucharist, and of course the reports of the World Council about the Church.
Secondly the Council organizes the advocacy in public affairs, for instance to the media and the government. We have special groups related to refugees, poverty and social welfare.
Thirdly the Council is a Christian partner towards representatives of other religions. As Christians we have regular meetings with Jews and Muslims. And a few times a year Hindus and Buddhists participate in the meetings. We stimulate one an other in promoting democracy and in looking for a safe society for everyone.
